Saratoga 150 $2 Bettor's Ball

Most festival balls require tuxedos and pricey tickets, but not during Saratoga’s 150th birthday bash which was held on August 17, 2013. Three ballrooms at the Saratoga Springs City Center featured dance bands playing the music of seven generations:

• Doc Scanlon’s Band with songs of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s sponsored by Mary Gavin and Jim Lavigne
• Party of Three with songs of the 70’s and 80’s sponsored by Saratoga Hospital
• Gravity with songs of the 90’s and 2000’s sponsored by Cudney's Cleaners

In keeping with the $2 Bettor theme, inexpensive food and beverages were available at all three ballrooms, catered by the Holiday Inn – Saratoga Springs. Fine Affairs handled the decorations for the event.

Proceeds benefited Backstretch Charities.
